The preset buttons work. Don't miss this real deal factory AM FM radio. I recently bench tested it undetermined to be non-functional so is being sold as a core radio for repair. The tuner slides smoothly across the dial with no slipping.

The chrome push buttons and bezel have some pitting which is common for older pot metal parts. It comes complete with a set of original inner and outer control knobs as well the shaft mounting nuts lock washers. AM/FM indicator toggles freely between AM and FM band location. Dial light works.

All set and change station locations these pull out rotate to for AM or FM stations. This is a relatively rare radio not seen for sale very often. The Formic part number on the side is TOB6TBS. AM FM radios were quite rare options in the 1960s especially on less expensive cars like Thunderbird.

Not very many were made due to the high cost of option and limited amount FM stations in non urban areas. The clear plastic dial is not scratched or cloudy however it has a missing chip on the RH side see photo. There is no rust on the case. Finding a real deal original 1966 Thunderbird AM FM radio today is quite task.

The power and speaker pigtails have some splices however they the correct terminals. Color of the dial numbers and pointer is sharp. Overall condition is nice, clean and all original. This is the correct AM FM radio that would have come from factory see part number.

Most of the radios that were produced tossed out years ago or are already installed in cars.
