To clear up any confusion many Ford AM FM radios from the mid 60s thru late 70s will fit opening of your 1973 Thunderbird or 73 Lincoln Mark IV but this is correct one that would have come factory see part number. There is no rust on the case. Color of the dial numbers and pointer is sharp. I recently bench tested it undetermined is in working condition.

It comes complete with a set of original inner and outer control knobs as well the shaft mounting nuts lock washers. Overall condition is exceptionally nice, clean and all original. The power and speaker pigtails are clean uncut.

Dial light works. It receives stations on both the AM and FM band. It also has the rear mounting bracket. Its physical appearance is suitable for a show car.

Balance lever below the tuning buttons moves freely. The clear plastic dial is not scratched, cracked or cloudy. Stereo indicator light works. The Formic part number on the side is D3SA-19A241 3FBS.

The preset buttons work. The tuner slides smoothly across the dial with no slipping. Slide bar toggles freely between AM and FM band location. Receives stations on both AM and FM bands.
