Part number for this radio reads T7SMZ and it was made by Motorola. It may need service/repair. The AM radio works very well listen to attached video but I'm unsure about the 8-track as I do not have a drive belt for testing. This will also work in a Cougar but the dials vary between two.

You are buying on an original 1967 Ford Mustang/Shelby/Cougar AM 8-track car stereo radio complete with correct knobs. Tone control works properly as does the left to right balance. Dial indicator is very bright in color just repainted and the dial light functional. Some of the black painted areas could also use some touch up.

The knobs are in very nice condition. The unit has been bench tested. Radios in varying condition for sale. Manual tuning works fine up and down the scale.

The motor, however, does spin. The black ring on one of the outer knobs could use a little touch up also see photo. I lightly polished the front surface. I will have, or currently other Mustang/Falcon/misc.

The wiring connectors have been cut off and replacements will need to be spliced on. The radio casing has no major rust issues. The tone control shaft pulls out from the but it still works. Dial numbering is still very bright.

The volume/tone controls were cleaned with some Exit. The plastic dial lens is in very good condition. The 8-track door is in decent condition but could use a little touch up and polishing.
