Receives stations on the AM band FM is weak. Its physical appearance is suitable for a show car. There is no rust on the case. If you select the Country setting, it seeks out farther or weaker broadcast signals.

When the seek or scan button is pressed, needle automatically slides across dial and stops when it detects a station. It comes complete with a set of original inner and outer control knobs the rear mounting bracket. It will also fit a 72-76 Thunderbird as well Lincoln Continental Mark IV. It receives stations on the AM band, but FM band is very weak and requires repair see video.

Slide bar toggles freely between AM and FM band location. Color of the dial numbers and pointer is sharp. This was the top-of-the-line radio option for those years and are not often seen sale. The tuner slides smoothly across the dial with no slipping.

I recently bench tested it and determined is in partial working condition. All set and change station locations nicely. Theres even a setting to select only stereo signals. Theres a signal strength selector for urban and rural Town Country.

Dial illumination light works. The clear plastic dial is not scratched, cracked or cloudy. That may seem strange today, but back in the 70s, few stations broadcaster stereo. The power and speaker pigtails are clean uncut.

The Formic part number on the side is D5SA-19A180. Overall condition is exceptionally nice, clean and all original. The preset buttons work. Balance lever below the tuning buttons moves freely.
