These are built to the inside dimension of frame, this allows you fillet weld them in place top and bottom. Just remember these frames are creeping up on their 80th birthday. These plates are precision cut, every set is the same.

5 inches long. Then grind them smooth and still have plenty of material for a strong attachment. May fit other frames, but these are specifically built to 37 and 38 Chevy Gmc 1/2 ton truck frames.

I spent numerous hours getting the design shape of these just right. Personally I don't trust using 1/8 inch or 10 gauge plate for this application these are designed to sit on top of the lower flange that reason. You can see this in the pictures. The bottom flange on rear of these frames is wider than top.

Rear boxing plates CBC cut from 3 16 steel. The inner flanges may be slightly bent up or down a bit, easily fixed with large crescent wrench hammer. I use 3 16 steel for its strength. These weigh 17 lbs.

I have test fit them in multiple frames, they all really well.
