Radio station indicator painted with two coats high performance fluorescent orange paint. 1978 Ford Motorola Cassette AM/FM Stereo Radio 1978, REPAIRED AND TESTED, D8DF 19A198 AB, This is a fantastic condition Ford cassette stereo. New Pinch Roller installed. Radio tuning dial clutch pad cleaned and functional.

Tape head cleaned and demagnetized. New belt installed. Bezel removed and cleaned. All FM and AM preset buttons functional.

Station preset push button mechanism was removed/disassembled and cleaned oiled. AM/FM switch cleaned. Tape/Radio switch removed and cleaned. Capstan removed and cleaned.

The model number stamp on the side of radio as shown in photos indicates this is a 1978 D8DF-19A198-AB cassette and was confirmed by Motorola Radio Service Manual. This model was installed in 1978 Ford vehicles that used the classic black bezel design. Unfortunately, someone cut the power and speaker plugs off this unit. The 1978 Motorola Radio Service Manual indicates this was used in Ford passenger vehicles.
