The re pops I have seen aren made correctly. Note to the winning bidder the long parallel line on the ii name plate goes on the top when installed correctly as shown in photo. I also had heard that the original tooling had got lost.

They were installed on all av antis.

Avanti owner Steve Blake was known for doing just that, to cut costs of having them produced again. Avanti name ii new nos this is a pair 2 of new old stock avanti ii name plates. They stopped using them sometime in the 1983 production run.
