I have parts for 1963 avanti, 1964 1965 1966 1967 1968 1969 1970 1971 1972 1973 1974 1975 1976 1977 1978 1979 1980 1981 1982 1983 1984 1985 and some 1987 up avanti. Nostalgic motor cars has installed more front windshields than anybody.
The windshield SW is years old and has most likely cracked hard rubber sealant used between glass body of car are also dried out not sealing water anymore. Most all avanti leak water.
They can't make them to those prints as nostalgic motor cars has owned all the original blueprints for over 25 years and we were not about loan out aftermarket. I personally install them and when get done they won't leak.
It always seemed to work. Avanti built new, by avanti motors, did not have a water leak problem when they were shipped from the factory. This is the correct windshield weather seal that was installed by avanti motors for Studebaker and avanti 1964 had a reputation leaking water when they were new.
The only water leaks on factory cars were if you ran them through a high pressure wash of any kind they would drip down both front door glasses at top where it meets that little SW stop vent assembly.
